A Baby is Blooming...

So I co-hosted a baby shower this weekend and it was so much fun!!! The shower was for one of my very best friends Venetia!! I have known her since high school and I love her to death! She is such a cute chick. During her whole pregnancy she has held it together and she looks beautiful! We all lost our mind when we heard that she was having a little girl! Its been baby boys around our circle for two years now, so we couldn't wait to buy PINK!

So the theme of the shower was "A Baby is Blooming" I ended up doing alot of fun stuff!!!The invitations I made on the computer with a little help from Microsoft Publisher and http://www.snapfish.com/ , the website that I get ALL of my pictures from. Once they came in the mail I stuck them on a piece of cardstock and embellished them with GREEN and MOCHA ribbon and tadda.......cute baby shower invitations!

For the favors I made flower pens and baby onesie cookies. I got the idea out of my new Conffetti Cake Cookbook that I got for Mother's Day!! The cookies are a vanilla sugar cookie covered with royal frosting for a nice soft bite!

*Cookie Favors include one cookie wraped in a cellophane bag, filler, matching ribbon and a custom message.

This is the cake that I ended up making too! Venetia got a kick out of the her little sleeping baby! She loves funfetti cake, which I don't know a soul who doesn't! So we used that for the little cake and all the cupcakes too. The top cake is covered with fondant and inside is a funfetti cake with buttercream frosting!

Baby Shower- Block Cake

I just did this baby shower cake! It was so much fun to do. I got the idea from this little block in my sons room. I looked at it an thought that it would be cute cake. My sister in laws best friend just adopted a new baby boy, so I couldn't wait to use this idea for her baby shower! I hope she loves it.

This is a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream filling and is covered complete green fondant. The teddy bear is made of fondant also! Feeds up to 25 people.

Black and White Polka Dot

This cake I created last year for my two friends joint birthday party! They were turning 24 and they were have a black and white themed party!

This cake includes three tiers of chocolate and vanilla cake with chocolate and vanilla filling. The frosting is a rich buttercream smoothed to look like fondant! There is a black ribbon trim for accents.
